Students will be producing their own newspaper on several events of the American Revolution.  Students will be given a week to complete them.  Minimal classtime will be given to outline and work on them. Most work will need to be done at home. This will be a PROJECT grade!

Assignment: Create the front page of a newspaper that:
  • Mentions four events of the American Revolution(can be battles, political events, etc)
  • For each even there should be a creative headline and a short three to four sentence summary of the event and its significance to the overall outcome of the revolution.
  • You should give your paper a creative name
  • Please include AT LEAST 3 images that are relevant to the events that you have described.  These do not have to be drawn, but it is preferred. If you are to use computer images, it must be evident that you did not completely copy somebody's work off of the internet, placement of images and text must have been done by you.
Grade will be determined by evaluating:
  • Does it look like the front page of a newspaper
  • Does it have at least 3 relevant images
  • Does it describe at least 4 events
  • Creativity
  • Quality
This will be due Monday October 24th.
